In 2023, we bought an old family farm near Roskilde. The area was to be transformed into forest and nature and we were given the opportunity to buy the farm with 2 hectares of land.

But what do you do with a large, run-down building stock? Do you tear it down and build new, or do you try to restore and preserve?

The building and construction industry accounts for an enormous number of raw materials. Still, an increasing number of Danes demolish houses and build new. We need a change!

At Maglehøjgaard, we have turned the challenge into a dogma. Together with architects, contractors and engineers, we aim to preserve and renovate a building with the greatest possible use of materials on site.
